Hey, even though I haven't seen this movie, I think you gave a great review! In fact, although there were spoilers, I still want to see the movie. You could totally be a critic! And, yes, this woman surely knows what it's like to have a good cry over a (marginally) good movie--there's just nothing like it.

I love movies, how they can reach you and make you feel like you're not the only one who feels a certain way. It's great that this movie resonated with you. I enjoyed your take on it. I haven't seen it yet, but plan to....when I'm in the right mood!

I would rather go see a movie that made me sob heaving, ugly sobs than a funny movie any day of the week. I like funny movies too, but a movie that makes you feel like you have been run over by a truck? Now THAT is a good movie. That is the best kind of movie, in my opinion.

okay, i am so glad you wrote this because i was completely RUINED after this movie; i was depressed as hell and cried spontaneously for hours afterward. i was really irritated by the sister thing, too. what the hell? i just kept looking at my husband saying "WHY is he looking at her like that? what are they DOING?!?"

and you know what else? stupid movie made me think "i'm going to be 30 and i have NO CHILDREN and how can someone give all my children a picture of me radiantly, glowingly pregnant and young right before i die so they can always remember me if i never have all those damned kids?"

THANK YOU for pointing out what has been bugging me lo these many years: Clare Danes has the torso of an NBA all-star, attached to the head and legs of your average-sized homewrecking actress.
